Talking Sesame Street Preview!

Hi all,

"Mad Men" becomes the subject of parody for PBS' "Sesame Street" and the characters have been translated into muppet forms. Presented by EMC instead of AMC, the skit sees Don Draper holding a meeting for a honey ad with two of his execs.

Through the ads, the program designed for children wants to show how feelings of "mad", "sad" and "happy" look like. Without leaving a little easter egg for adults to laugh at, Draper praised his agents after finding the right ad by saying, "Good job, sycophants!".

OMG, So Cute & Funny!

Wink What's Next for Sal!

Hi all,

"My jaw dropped; my heart sunk," Bryan Batt tells TVGuide.com of his reaction to reading a climactic scene from Sunday's episode of "Mad Men" between Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and Salvatore Romano. "It's so heartbreaking." When one of Sterling Cooper's most lucrative clients propositions Sal, Sal turns him down, which leads the client, the heir to the Lucky Strike cigarette fortune, to insist upon Sal's dismissal. It's particularly unsettling that Don does the firing, since it was he who witnessed Sal's near-romp in Baltimore and warned him only to "limit [his] exposure." Batt said Sal's real shock is the realization that he no longer has an ally in Don.

Interesting!

Thumbs down Writer / Axed!

Hi all,

Critic’s darling "Mad Men" has finally caught a whiff of scandal – one of the AMC show’s writers, Kater Gordon, has lost her job. The news comes a month after she won an Emmy for co-writing the hit series, which was created by Matthew Weiner. No reason was given for her swift dismissal. Her departure isn’t being called a firing quite yet, and reps for the show have not yet released a statement.

Oh well!

Wink 63 Memorable Moments of The Year 1963!

Hi all,

The entire third season of AMC’s landmark drama "Mad Men" has unfolded with the foreshadowing (for viewers) of the catastrophe in Dallas that would change the world forever—and shake up the world of at least a few of this show’s characters. Sunday’s remarkable episode brought the shattering tragedy of JFK’s assassination into focus in the same way all of America shared the news: on TV, whether in the office, in a living room, or even in a hotel room during a secret tryst. The entire country stayed glued for days, through the on-camera shooting of assassin Lee Harvey Oswald through the stately funeral.

How did it play on "Mad Men", where so many of the characters have been poised at the precipice of change for some time? Let's count the ways, in an annotated list of memorable moments from the episode. 63 ways, to be exact, in honor of the year (1963) this season has so painstakingly documented.

Great list!
